This all began because we love music and believe in our local community. Back in 2007, Red Tree Recording Studio was founded by Jeffery Armstreet and two other partners (Kyle Hutton and Harold Rubens). Each of the three studio partners began their own production companies. In late 2008, Jeffery and Kent Coley (who had over a decade of experience in music publishing, radio promotions and artist management) partnered to build more into the artists that Jeffery was currently producing. Soon after, we realized much more was needed before, during, and after the recording process in order for an artist to attain long term success. We brought on Katie Rentfro as a third partner in June 2009 and hit the ground running as Magnolia Red – an artist management, production, and publishing company. By the end of 2009, we had three diverse local Houston artists on our management roster: Shellee Coley (pop-folk), Castle Lights (a rock-pop band with a European flair) and Folk Family Revival (a folk-country band). Confident of the team we have moving forward, we are ecstatic about introducing our artists to you and partnering with other local artists in helping put Houston on the map for its great music.
